The RSpace platform delivers intuitive solutions for common research workflows by seamlessly integrating with relevant tools, services, and infrastructure. The services Research Space provides are designed to support organisations in fostering a sustainable research data management ecosystem.
As of June 26th 2024, we are proud to release RSpace as a fully open-source project! Research Space has been releasing open-source components for RSpace since 2017, but transforming RSpace entirely into an open-source initiative and fostering a vibrant community around it aligns perfectly with our product development philosophy.
By closely collaborating with the open source RDM community, we aim to accelerate the evolution of RSpace and open up new opportunities for organizations and individuals to contribute to RSpace development, driving innovation and enhancing functionality.
Contributions to the RSpace open-source project can come in many forms and are not limited to code contributions. We’re excited for you to become a part of our community and look forward to your contributions!
The development of RSpace is driven by engagement with the RDM community. We are active participants and contributors to the Research Data Alliance, through both chairing and contributing to multiple Working and Interest Groups.
We are also actively involved with various RDM projects and products, including Dataverse, Dryad, DataCite, DMP Tool, iRODS, and the FDO Forum, as contributors, advisors, and collaborators.
We regularly attend and contribute to open science and RDM events throughout the year, and these activities continuously inform our strategic direction.
